Aubrey Fire Department Auxiliary

Formed officially as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2009, the Auxiliary is a vital extension of the Aubrey Fire Department. Composed of all volunteer members and run by its elected Executive Officers, the organization relies solely on donations in order to accomplish its goals.

The mission statement of the Aubrey Fire Department Auxiliary (AFDA) is to support the firefighters of the City of Aubrey Fire Department in their pursuit of Life Safety, Incident Stabilization, and Environmental/Property Preservation of the citizens they serve and their respected memberships. The mission will be accomplished through activities supporting fiscal, public service and response support needs of the Aubrey Fire Department Firefighters.

With the motto of "Supporting Our Firefighters...Supporting Our Community", the AFDA holds many events during the year to encourage community involvement and support. This past 2009 the AFDA has held fundraisers, participated in the Peanut Festival, hosted "Halloween Trunk Treating", and "Cookies with Santa" events at the downtown fire station. The AFDA members provided nourishment to the Firefighters on many fire scenes this past year, including mutual aid to surrounding community fire departments.

There are many opportunities to get involved, whether its volunteering at an event, donating an item on the 2010 needs list or participating by coming to an event with your family, we need everyone's help!
