For the 3rd year in a row, the AUBREY AREA LIBRARY has been awarded the Texas Municipal Library Directors Achievement in Excellence in Libraries Award! Only 27 out of more than 500 public libraries in the state of Texas received this award!

Senior Services

Seniors 50 and above are invited to come and join in the fun and fellowship at the Senior Programs held the first three Thursdays of each month. The activities begin at 10:00 with lunch following at 11:30. Please sign up for lunches a week in advance. Call the Library for more information - 940-365-9162.

There will be no senior activities in July and August. However, if you are a crafter, Classy Crafters meet each Tuesday from1:00 until 3:00 in the Program Room at the Library. Bring your project and come enjoy the fun!
Regular Senior Activities will resume on Thursday, September 2 at 10:00. Have a great summer!


Story Time

Story Time & Toddler Time will return in September.


AFOAL

Support your Library by becoming a member of the Area Friends of the Aubrey Library (AFOAL). AFOAL meets the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Library. You can also support AFOAL by shopping at the ongoing book sale during regular Library hours. Fundraising events sponsored by AFOAL have provided a new bike rack, new materials and a new sound system. Membership applications for AFOAL are available at the Library.
Yearly Membership Fees Are:
$5.00 - Youth/Teen/Senior 60+
$10.00 - Adult
$25.00 - Family
$50.00 - Patron

  • Classy Crafters: Tuesdays 1:00 - 3:30
  • Senior Citizens Activities: No Senior Activities until September 1, 2010 - then regular schedule 1st, 2nd and 3rd Thursdays 10:00 - 12:00. Occasional 4th Thursday. Call for information at 940-365-9162.
  • Crime Watch: Last Tuesday of the month.
  • Aubrey Book Club: Last Wednesday of the month.
